Starting Tuesday, September 16, 2025, online library services will be provided via a new system and a renewed catalog. During the rollout of the new system (September 10–15), a limited number of services will be unavailable.
At lib.ugent.be, you can search all library collections, including all e-journals, e-books, and databases accessible to Ghent University students and researchers, simultaneously from a single address. Simply log in with your Ghent University account at lib.ugent.be to access Ghent University-only collections from home or on the go. VPN is therefore no longer necessary to consult library collections.
The Lean Library browser extension also helps you to easily access Ghent University-only e-resources when using tools such as Google Scholar or PubMed. You only need to install this extension in your browser once.
The library asks for your patience while the new platform is being finalized. Not all services and collections will be available from September 16, 2025.
