Research Data Management trends and requirements: Funder & journal policies
19 november 12:00 - 13:30
External research funders at home and abroad are increasingly adopting policies on Research Data Management (RDM). These introduce new requirements for researchers applying for and receiving funding. Like funders, publishers and journals are also increasingly expecting researchers to make data associated with scientific publications available to others. Current journal data availability policies range from mere encouragements to share data (and related research materials) that underpin publications, to hard mandates to do so.
In this Knowledge 2 Connect seminar, Data steward for Life Sciences Laura Standaert will share insights on these topics including:
- What is the evolution in RDM requirements by journals and funders?
- What are the new data management requirements for European projects (Horizon Europe)?
- Examples from (bio-)medical research
